LIMERICK

Limerick is the third biggest city in Ireland located half way up the west coast of Ireland. Its a city which has all the best to offer but maybe on a smaller scale than what most would be used to and HUSH is a good example of this.

There are many clubs, bars, shops etc in Limerick that just about cover whatever it is you may be looking for. Its just a matter of knowing where to look. We are proud of our city even though it may not always keep up with the rest of the world. In its own small way HUSH showcases what is going on in the rest of the world in a musical sense at least.

Ireland's biggest export has sometimes been people because there may not have been jobs here for them or else they wanted more of what they were getting a taste of from abroad. But that has changed - especially in Limerick.

Today Limerick is a multicultural, truly modern city even though the pace of change has been a bit overwhelming at times. Some Irish people have come back from abroad after many years of seeing what the world has to offer and with the other cultural influences here today these people are helping to bring new elements to living in Limerick.

HUSH promotes all types of music as long as its laid back so people can chat and maybe make new friends. We promote the idea that a club is a meeting place for people who can share experiences -tisn't just about music.

Travelling from abroad? Limerick, Ireland is served by nearby Shannon airport. Aer Lingus as well as many other airlines from around the world stop here. You can also fly to Dublin Airport and travel by car to Limerick (160km) or by ferry from the UK or Europe.

Limerick is a gateway to the rest of Ireland which is a very picturesque and friendly country - perhaps you can turn your trip into an extended stay to take advantage of the unspoilt country side and easy going pace of Ireland in general.

The capital city Dublin is now a truly world class place to visit with much to offer in the line of entertaiment and everything a modern city has to offer. Contact the Irish Tourist Board for more information about our beloved country.

Just to prove that we do have a sense of humour and can laugh at ourselves in Limerick have a listen to THIS You will need Realplayer.
