A true born and bred Limerick man, JOHN COWPAR's passion for music began almost twenty years ago with the purchase of his first record - Run DMC's 'Raising Hell'. Since then he has built up an expansive record collection, covering a broad range of sounds and styles - everything from The Pixies to Boards of Canada. John can currently be found putting his vast knowledge of music to use behind the counter of Black Spot Records on Wickham Street where he has worked for over ten years. Blackspot has been dedicated to providing Limerick DJs with quality tunes, ensuring that their ears are not harrassed by mainstream cheese. John actively supports the local scene and is very impressed by the amount of talented DJs that have emerged from the clubs of Limerick over the past few years. Recently John has decided to share his sounds with the public, which can be heard at HUSH in the basement of Daffys, a relaxed venue suited to his unique collection of Funky down tempo beats.
